There are many ways to get to know our community. To start, join us for a Sunday service at 10 a.m. at 19020 Woodinville Duvall Road in Woodinville. You can learn more about WUUC by looking through our visitor’s packet full of information about the church and by talking with our members at fellowship hour after the service. If you like what you experience, please fill out a yellow visitor’s card so that we may contact you.
On this page you can learn about Unitarian Universalism (UUism), find a gathering to attend, sign up for our email lists, and read about membership at WUUC.
Learn about UUism
- Find out more about what Unitarian Universalists believe on the UU Beliefs page.
- Find out more about what to expect at WUUC Sunday services in our Sunday Service FAQ.
- Check out UU online, the monthly magazine from the Unitarian Universalist Association.
Get involved
After your initial visit, there are several ways you can get to know WUUC better:
- Come to a Circle Supper, a monthly gathering of WUUC members and friends to dine and discuss. Check the calendar for the date of the next Circle Supper and the contact person.
- Get the latest scoop from our monthly newsletter, Connections. The latest issue is in the visitor packets. You can also email the WUUC office to add your name to the newsletter distribution list.
- Attend a Friendship Connection. This is a meeting held after service at the back of the sanctuary on the 1st Sunday of each month with a few WUUC members available to answer any questions you may have about WUUC.
You can subscribe to an email list below by contacting Brad Hull at bkhull@gmail.com.
- The WUUC Announce email list includes special announcements related to WUUC. This list is limited to announcements (not discussions).
- The WUUC Discussion email list serves as an open forum for communicating with other WUUC members and friends. This list is an active part of the WUUC community and all are welcome to join and participate.
When you are ready to become a member we invite you to participate in Pathways
to Membership -a class that offers background on Unitarian Universalist history,
information about UUism today, and information about what it means to be a
member of WUUC. At the end of this class you'll have an opportunity to sign
the membership book and be welcomed into the WUUC community at a Sunday service.
Responsibilities of Church Membership include:
- Attending service regularly
- Developing your own spirituality
- Serving on a committee or task force
- Pledging according to your ability
- Being involved in social outreach and service
- Connecting to the wider Unitarian Universalist movement
Pathways to Membership classes will be held three times each year. Dates for upcoming classes are posted on the bulletin board near the church office and announced in the Order of Service a few weeks prior to the class. You can also watch the WUUC Announce and WUUC Discussion email lists for more information on exact dates. A sign-up sheet will be available in the church foyer starting one month before the class, or you can call or email the church office (office@wuuc.org) and let them know you’ll be attending.
